Melissa serves as a Director for the Leadership and Social Impact Vital Voices. In this role, she leads content and curriculum for the VV GROW Fellowship and supports the fellowship in communications and partnerships. Prior to joining Vital Voices, she developed inclusive employment programs and worked on federal regulatory compliance in the private sector, as well as within the U.S. Senate. Melissa grew up in Michigan. In both her personal and professional life, she has shown a passion for advancing women’s rights through economic development. Melissa has been a business pitch judge for high school students through Build DC, mentored university students from MENA through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce MENA Scholars program. Melissa received her B.A. in International Relations and Comparative Cultures & Politics from Michigan State University, as well as her M.A. in International Affairs from the George Washington University.
