Global Innovation Forum Releases Takeaways on the Role of FinTech in Advancing Global Entrepreneurship

Washington, D.C. – The Global Innovation Forum released takeaways for public policymakers from a forum held on January 28 on the role of innovative financial services (FinTech) in empowering global entrepreneurship and development and the impact of public policy.

The event – co-hosted by the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University, Engine, Intuit and 1776 – featured a keynote conversation with Representative Jared Polis (D-CO) and discussion with Jeff Kaufman, Group Lead, QuickBooks Finance; Jonny Price, Senior Director, Kiva ZIP,; Kay McGowan, Digital Finance Lead, U.S. Global Development Lab, U.S. Agency for International Development; Brandon Pollak, Director of Global Affairs, 1776; Mark Wu, Director, Berkman Center for Internet & Society, Harvard University; Brian R.
